Minola Review is on a short hiatus and will return with new issues in 2024. Submissions are currently closed.
Minola Review accepts poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction submissions from all those who identify as women and non-binary writers. Our definitions are broad and inclusive. We reject any form of transphobia, homophobia, racism, or misogyny both in our submissions policy and the content of the work we will consider.
Guidelines
We accept submissions through email. Please send your work to the appropriate editor as listed below.
Please send your strongest unpublished work. Simultaneous submissions are okay but do notify us immediately if the work is accepted elsewhere. If possible, please alert us about a withdrawn piece by “responding” to the original email you sent so that it is in the same email thread.

We pay an honourarium of $25 per published poem. All rights revert back to the author upon publication.
FICTION: SUBMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED. Send up to 5,000 words to [email protected]. Micro fiction (<1,000 words) is welcome and can be sent as a series. Novel excerpts are also welcome provided they stand well on their own. Please send only ONE piece of either Fiction or Creative Non-Fiction per submission, unless you are submitting a series of up to 3 micro fictions. Please note we are looking for pieces that contain some form of a narrative thread, a story, and are open to experimental or unconventional takes on this. REVIEWS: SUBMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED. We welcome book reviews of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, chapbooks, plays, and graphic novels by and from individuals who identify as women and non-binary. While we’re looking for reviews that explore the books, we’re also interested in the unique perspectives of people responding to them. Tell us what you love about a book, and feel free to express reservations, but be respectful.
